/ Commission Process

A conversation before anything else

No packages, no automated intake.
Every commission starts with a direct exchange about the subject,
the reference material, and what you want.

First conversation

An email exchange, then a decision

You reach out through the inquiry form. We talk through the subject, the size, and the timeline before anything is confirmed

If the fit isn't right, I'll say so directly. I don’t take a deposit until both sides are clear on what the painting will be.

Reference review

The reference photograph

We discuss your reference photographs together. I note the angle, the particular brown in the eye, the way the coat catches light — the details that make the subject itself.

If the photos aren't workable, I'll tell you what to look for and you can send me more.
The painting can only be as specific as the reference allows.

Work and delivery

Carefully drawn, detailed paintings

You’ll receive a proof — after about 3 weeks — before varnishing.

Delivery is by insured courier. Timeline is agreed before work begins, not estimated afterward.

Pet Portraits

Finished commissions are shared on my social media and works are the property of the artist.

Ready when you are

The inquiry form takes two minutes. I read every submission personally and reply within a day or two.
